One accepted call to the events endpoint, whatever its quantity. Sending quantity: 40 in a single call is one event, not forty. Rejected calls, duplicates caught by an idempotency key, and anything you send to a sandbox are all free.
On Growth and Scale, the extra events are metered at the plan’s per-thousand rate and appear as a line on your next invoice — nothing throttles and nothing stops. Starter is a hard cap: metering pauses and we email you before it does.
No. The included allowance resets each month. If your volume is seasonal rather than growing, talk to us about an annual commitment — that pools the allowance across the year instead.
Yes, in the dashboard, and it takes effect immediately. We prorate the base price to the day and carry your metered usage across, so the change is visible on the current invoice rather than the next one.
No. Customers, subscriptions, meters and pricing versions are unmetered — you can model a thousand contracts on Starter. Events are the only thing we count, because they’re the only thing that costs us anything.
Yes. Starter is a plan, not a trial: no card, no expiry, and the same ingest path and audit trail the paid plans use. Most teams run it in parallel with their current billing for a cycle before moving over.
